Left Side Break Rules – 10 Spot Format
By purchasing a full spot in a Left Side Break, you agree to the following rules and card allocation methods. When purchasing a filler spot, please refer to the terms and conditions here.
1. Break Format Overview
- This Left Side Break consists of 10 total spots, numbered 0 through 9.
- Cards are assigned strictly according to the numbering or identifier printed on the card itself
- Checklist listings, pack odds, or external references are not used to determine ownership.
2. Card Assignment Rules
Base Cards & Standard Inserts
- Base cards and standard inserts are awarded based on the last digit of the printed card number, where no serial number exists on the front or the back of the card.
- Example: Card #27, no serial number → 7 spot
Serial-Numbered Cards
- Cards with serial numbering (e.g., 1/1, 12/99, 349/350) are awarded based on the last digit of the serial number.
- Example: 10/10 → 0 spot
- Example: 349/350 → 9 spot
- Example: 1/1 → 1 spot
Cards with Identifiers (No Serial Number)
- Cards with an alphabetic or alphanumeric identifier and no serial number (e.g., HOF-BF, AUTO-JD) are awarded based on the final character of the identifier.
- Example: HOF-BF → F spot
Cards with Identifiers Containing Numbers
- Cards with identifiers that include numbers (e.g., #13-SP, CASE-07, INS-24) are awarded based on the last digit of the numeric portion.
- Example: #13-SP → 3 spot
- Example: CASE-07 → 7 spot
3. Multi-Player / Multi-Subject Cards
- Cards featuring two players or two subjects are assigned based on the official break number:
- Odd-numbered breaks → awarded to the Left Side
- Even-numbered breaks → awarded to the Right Side
- Cards featuring three or more players or subjects will be randomized among the applicable player or team spots represented on the card using a transparent randomization method.
- Break numbers are defined by the official break listing and are not subject to change once the break begins.
4. Special Card Types
- Sketch Cards are always randomized at the conclusion of the break, regardless of any numbering, identifiers, or subjects shown on the card.
- Printing plates follow the same rules as serial-numbered cards. If no serial number exists, then it goes to the card number, if neither exist it is random.
- Redemptions are assigned based on the printed card number or identifier shown on the redemption.
- If no number or identifier is present, the redemption will be randomized at the end of the break.
5. Randomization Clause
- Any card that does not clearly meet one of the defined criteria above will be randomized at the conclusion of the break using a transparent method.
- All randomizations are final once completed.
6. Final Terms
- All determinations are made live and in good faith.
- Decisions made during the break are final.
- Left Side Breaks are a retail promotional format tied to collectible products and are not a gambling activity.
